Subs & Fundraising
I hope everyone had a good Christmas and is looking forward to Scouting in 2012, it is with regret that we have had to raise the cost of subscriptions by £3 a Term which is because of rising costs but mainly due to the lack of support at Fundraising Events, we don't have that many and they are normally a cheap night out and fun too,  just remember all proceeds from these events makes your Child's Scouting better and cheaper. 
Commitment
 Attendance at Church Parade is what we do, it forms part of the Faith Badge but more importantly the Promise Challenge, without these a Beaver, Cub or Scout can not achieve  their Chief Scout Award.
Attendance at Church Parade in 2011, has been, extremely poor and in future nobody will be able to acheive their Bronze, Silver or Gold or any other Top Award unless all of the parts of the Award are met, people find time to go to camp or other things but as soon as Church Parade is mentioned you all find a reason not to attend, this is a kick in the teeth to your Leaders and Group, such a let down for people who give you so much, we are not like your teachers at school, they get paid to have you , we on the other hand do what we do for free, is it too much to ask for a bit of support, in most cases it is. As a Scout, be it a Beaver, Cub or Scout we have 4 Duties, which are; 
                     A Duty to Ones Self
                     A Duty to Others
                     A Duty to the Queen
                     A Duty to God
All of these form the Princples of Scouting and are part of the Promise we All Make, failure to keep the promise will result in nobody acheiving top awards and with this in mind nobody will be attending County Award Days in future, will they?
