Training
18 of our 23 Leaders have done some training this year, 5 of these have now completed their training for the Wood badge.
Since the sucess of the Essex Scout School (140 attended) most of our Leaders seem keen to get on with their training
We at 5th will soon have our own Training Advisers, Phil and Jan how now done module 25, (I did it some years ago) we will be able to press forward and advise on training our own people and hopefully in time all our Leaders will end up with their wood badges.
Just remember doing training is not enough you need to Validate it, With validation in mind Carol Lyons our Local Training Manager is willing to come to us, this has been arranged for Sunday 22nd May, while Carol is with us she will sit in while Phil, Jan and myself validate some modules, if she is happy with what we are doing we will be aloud to hold regular in house validation meetings. In the meantime I will be talking to everyone about attending at sometime on the day to validate any outstanding modules you have, I do know most people have at least a couple. I will be in touch.
